We have sessional rooms available to a GP seeking a practice to provide a quality service.  

FMP is a well-established medical practice that has been operational for over 30 years. We have transitioned to a new generation of GP ownership, and bring a young and enthusiastic view point for how GP’s of the next generation can be supported to care for their patients. We have sessions available from 1-5 days a week, and we are looking for a local GP with ideas and values that align with a specialist family medicine practice of the future.

• Kirrawee: Located in a heritage-listed house alongside a main train station and carpark, with modern, light-filled consulting rooms, auto-adjustable beds, greenery, and three well-equipped treatment rooms.
• Woolooware: A welcoming, coastal clinic with a relaxed, community atmosphere and a focus on continuity of care.
• Kurnell: Our newest site, above a much-loved cafe at the gateway to the peninsula, blending village charm with modern facilities.

At Family Medical Practices, we provide ourselves on delivery exceptional evidence-based care. As part of our friendly, family-first team, you will play a vital role in helping our patients feel safe, cared for and valued.

What you will be doing:

• Providing compassionate patient care, including procedural assistance and wound management
• Supporting chronic disease management
• Collaborating with our team on quality improvement initiatives
• Using your immunisation skills and experience to keep our community healthy
• Managing ordering and stock to keep things running smoothly
• Assisting with the practice accreditation cycle

What we are looking for:

• Recent nursing experience (General Practice experience is a bonus, but not essential!)
• Familiarity with Best Practice software is preferred
• Strong time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail
• A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Preferably a nurse immuniser
• Current AHPRA registration and CPR/BSL certification

Are you the kind of person who can juggle a ringing phone, a waiting room and a tricky Medicare question without breaking a sweat, and still smile about it? Then we'd love to meet you!

We're a locally owned GP practice with three sites in the Shire. We care a lot about our patients, and just as much about our team.

What your day looks like

You'll be the first hello and the last goodbye for our patients. You'll book appointments, sort out billing, answer phones and help people find their way, all alongside a great bunch of GPs, allied health providers and support staff. No two days are the same, and you'll never be flying solo.

You'll fit right in if you…

• Have recent medical reception experience (a must!)
• Know your way around medical billing, Medicare rebates and private billing (also a must!)
• Have used Best Practice (a big bonus, but we can show you the ropes)
• Genuinely enjoy helping people feel looked after
• Are organised, detail-minded and great at multitasking
• Stay calm and kind when things get busy
• Are comfortable with computers and happy to learn new systems
• Love being part of a team
• Can be flexible with hours and sites when needed
